Hans Wilsdorf founded Tudor watches in 1946 and the first Tudor Boutique in the Gulf was opened by Modern Art Studio in Manama Bahrain in December 2014.

Our History
Modern Art Studio is an Official Rolex and Tudor Retailer, founded in 1934 by Naji Murad. His original shop was located in Government Avenue, Manama, Bahrain.
Being an approved Rolex & Tudor Service Centre we offer a complete After Sales Service with technicians trained and qualified by Rolex and Tudor.
With highly trained, experienced and friendly sales staff, we will assist you with your watch selection from many beautiful timepieces on display in our Rolex and Tudor Boutiques.
1938

In 1938, Modern Art Studio became the first Official Rolex Retailer in the Gulf. Today we are one of the longest established retailers worldwide; our history with Rolex extends over 80 years.
1949

Modern Art Studio became an Official Tudor Retailer, authorised to sell guaranteed Tudor timepieces. Today our history with Tudor extends back over 70 years.
1978

In 1978, Modern Art Studio’s new Rolex showroom was opened by Mr. André Heiniger CEO of Rolex, who commented that it was “one of the best Rolex shops in the world”.
The shop had exclusive showcases which not only displayed the watches but were also cleverly designed into individual letters spelling the name ROLEX.
2017
Modern Art Studio opens one of the largest Rolex Boutiques in the world
This prestigious new boutique in Bahrain City Centre has been uniquely designed by Rolex to embrace the Middle Eastern culture.
The boutique provides an unforgettable experience for customers, offering an extensive Rolex collection of hundreds of watches on display in beautifully crafted walnut showcases.

Modern Art Studio opens a new Duty Free Rolex Store
The new Rolex Duty Free Store at Bahrain International Airport features a modern and refined design, showcasing an exquisite selection of Rolex timepieces.

Modern Art Studio opens a new Tudor Boutique at Marassi Galleria
This impressive new Tudor Boutique was officially opened by Tudor’s CEO Mr. Eric Pirson, Tudor’s Sales Director Mr. Roland Enderli and Tudor’s Brand Manager Middle East Mr. Marcel Bachmann.
2024
Modern Art Studio opens a new Rolex Boutique at Marassi Galleria
This new boutique is over 230 sq.m in size and features a sophisticated, elegant and timeless design. H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa officially opened the new Rolex Boutique in Marassi Galleria Mall on 14th November 2024.
